Lookout+ for uncrewed and crewed maritime defense

Maritime perception that persists even in DDIL conditions.

No radar. No laser. No problem.

Field-proven • AUKUS Authorised • Mission ready

Overview

What is Lookout+

Lookout+ delivers navigation-grade optical perception and situational awareness (PSA) that holds up in DDIL conditions. Software-defined, Lookout+ detects, classifies, and tracks contacts using camera feeds.

Lookout+'s passive perception integrates with your existing autonomy to inform COLREGS compliance across all scenarios.

No RF emissions. No lasers. Edge-processed.

Capabilities

What Lookout+ does

Designed to satisfy US Navy J-5 test requirements including EMCON thresholds and Phase 1 PSA test data collection.

Detects, classifies and geolocates marine objects in real-time.

J-5 test requirement

Emission free situational awareness for DDIL and EMCON conditions.

J-5 test requirement

Real-time range and bearing with target tracking.

J-5 test requirement

Support for both EO and IR cameras, with multi-unit configuration for 360° field of view.

J-5 test requirement

Multi-sensor fusion including EO/IR cameras, radar (ARPA), AIS and INS.

J-5 test requirement

Bridge and ROC alerts for detection objects.

Integrates with autonomy solutions for safe navigation and collision avoidance.

Remote and onboard playback and live streaming of detection events.

Edge-processed, cyber-hardened system architecture.

Camera and hardware agnostic

software-defined perception

Interoperable with your stack

Lookout+ is hardware agnostic by design. It integrates with your existing autonomy stack and whatever sensor hardware you’ve already committed to, so adopting it means closing a gap, not re-architecting a solution.

Evaluation readiness

De-risk your USV project

Lookout+ closes the perception gap in your stack with proven, navigation-grade perception without emissions.

Strengthen your confidence further with MIS-SIM, Greenroom Robotics simulation software that lets you rehearse in high-fidelity before a single nautical mile of live testing.

Proven tech, plus simulated rehearsal and stress testing, gives you the confidence you need ahead of sea-trials.

Track record

Field-proven perception that has already executed precisely the kinds of test scenarios the Navy has specified

Patrol Boat Autonomy Trial — 2024

Austal Australia, Trusted Autonomous Systems, Royal Australian Navy

Lookout+ supported full autonomy for endurance sea trials on a 187ft decommissioned Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Armidale-class patrol vessel — 705nm autonomous, 148 COLREGs collision avoidance manoeuvres. Directly demonstrated the following J-5 scenario types: head-on encounters, crossing give-way, crossing stand-on, overtaking, being overtaken, and navigational hazard avoidance.

US Naval Surface Warfare Capability Demonstrator — 2025

SubSea Craft

GAMA and Lookout+ integrated with external partners in less than 120 days. Formal testing by US DoD successfully demonstrated autonomous navigation, day and night, in DDIL environments. Reliability of the passive collision avoidance system was maintained throughout.

360° perception for offshore survey — 2026

Riverside Marine

Enhance situational awareness on crewed operations, giving the vessel persistent, 360° perception across 8,396 nautical miles of travel. Lookout+ identified 1,840 objects, reducing reliance on manual watchkeeping and easing the burden on crew during long transits.
